The screw expander is a volumetric expansion machine. The commonly referred to as the screw expander refers to the twin-screw expander, the mountain screw expander specially for gas expansion development optimization. It is mainly composed of a pair of intermeshing screw rotors and chassis. The rotor and the rotor, the rotor and the chassis are sealed by clearance to form a working chamber with continuous volume change. Gaseous working medium containing heat enters the working chamber and expands adiabatically, driving the rotor to rotate and do work. While doing the work of expansion, the pressure and temperature of the working medium are reduced, so as to realize the conversion of thermal power. At present, Kaishan screw expansion generator set has been widely used in iron and steel industry waste heat power generation, industrial residual pressure power generation, geothermal power generation and bioenergy power generation and other fields. By the end of 2015, about more than 70 projects of screw expansion power generation have been completed. The total installed power is about 110MW. Industrial residual pressure power generation
Industrial residual pressure mainly includes high-pressure natural gas and process gas in steel and chemical industries, as well as saturated or superheated steam with pressure. In order to meet the process requirements, these high-pressure gases or steam usually reduce the pressure to the required value through the pressure reducing valve, resulting in a waste of pressure energy. Kaishan Direct Expansion Screw Generator Unit can effectively recover the industrial residual pressure, and convert the generator into electric power, bringing good benefits to customers.
According to the application situation, the screw direct expansion generator used in industrial residual pressure power generation can be divided into back pressure type and condensing type. Generally, asynchronous or synchronous motors are configured as power output units. According to working fluids, it can be divided into steam type and gas type.
The unit is widely used in steel and chemical industry. The application forms include back pressure type, condensing type, single-stage direct expansion unit, multi-stage direct expansion unit and direct expansion + ORC cascade unit.

Heat source: 30 barA & 50 t / h saturated steam, requiring 20 ~ 25 t / H & 12 barA steam in the process flow to be used for production process and park steam supply.
Project plan: according to the situation of customer residual pressure, the three stage direct expansion power generation scheme is adopted. First, the by-product steam of phosphorus-burning furnace is reduced to 12 barA by two KES900 back-pressure screw expanders, and the outlet steam enters the sub-cylinder. The production process uses the steam and the park supply to take the steam from it, and the surplus steam is supplied to a KES 1400 back pressure screw expander for power generation to reduce the pressure to 3 barA, and then to a KES 2300 condensing screw expander for power generation. The exhausted steam is cooled by the condenser and transported to the desalting water tank through the condensate pump and recycled. When the screw expander is in need of maintenance or emergency shutdown, the steam will be released from the original release pipeline. Total installed machine 5.5MW, total net power 4.4MW.
Industrial low temperature waste heat power generation
Industrial waste heat accounts for 17% - 67% of the total fuel consumption, of which recyclable waste heat resources account for about 60% of the total waste heat resources. Kaishan ORC screw expander unit can directly or indirectly recover heat from hot water, hot oil, atmospheric steam, cylinder liner water and tail gas of industrial low-temperature waste heat and generate electricity. According to the heating mode can be divided into direct use of ORC screw expansion unit and indirect use of ORC screw expansion unit; according to the type of heat source can be divided into hot water ORC, steam ORC and other ORC.

Project plan: according to the customer's residual heat situation, adopt single stage ORC expansion power generation plan. The hot oil is directly and sequentially introduced into the evaporator and preheater of the ORC unit, and is exchanged with R245fa on the refrigerant side of the heat exchanger to produce high temperature and high pressure saturated gas into the expander to do work and drive the generator to generate electricity. Expansion generator set and customer's original air-cooled parallel connection, when the expansion unit maintenance or emergency shutdown hot oil switch into the original air-cooled cooling.
The main feature of this project is that the light hot oil directly enters the power station to cool down and generate electricity, instead of using intermediate thermal conductive medium, so it has the highest power generation efficiency. At the same time, the power station is designed according to the reliability and explosion-proof standard of petrochemical industry, which achieves remote control, remote monitoring and unattended. The special screw expansion power station for light hot oil in petrochemical industry of Yanshan Petrochemical S Zorb process is installed at 900kW with explosion-proof grade dIICT4. The power station can achieve an annual net power generation of 4 million 730 thousand kWh, save 1656 tons of standard coal, and achieve a CO2 emission reduction of 3934 tons. After the implementation of the project, the cooling capacity of the original air cooler can be reduced by 604 thousand and 800 kWh per year. This project is also a representative project of Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. after signing the "Energy Conservation Service Cooperation Agreement" in June 2015, both sides use their respective advantages to cooperate and jointly provide customers with low-level energy utilization of the overall solution.
Geothermal power generation
Geothermal energy is a continuous renewable energy. Geothermal power generation is the process of transforming underground heat into mechanical energy, and then mechanical energy into energy. The technology is tailor-made geothermal utilization solutions for a number of wells or close to each other, maximizing the use of heat sources. Project plan: according to the geothermal condition, the single stage ORC expansion power generation scheme is adopted. Installed 400kW, net power 312kW. Geothermal water is introduced directly into the evaporator and preheater of ORC unit in turn, and is exchanged with R245fa on the refrigerant side of the heat exchanger to produce high temperature and high pressure saturated gas into the expander to do work and drive the generator to generate electricity. Considering the low temperature of ground air and the availability of river water, the water cooled condenser is used to improve the efficiency of power generation. The design of the unit is compact, the container size is designed and the transportation is convenient.
Biomass power generation
Biomass power generation is a kind of power generation using biomass energy, which includes direct combustion of agricultural and forestry wastes, gasification of agricultural and forestry wastes, garbage incineration power generation, landfill gas power generation and biogas power generation. It can be used to generate electricity by direct expansion generator set, ORC generator set or cascade generator set.
